I buy SodaStream refills when I can. They are out of stock a lot, so I don’t always carry my empties with me store to store. When I see they are in stock, I will buy 2 or 3. I went to return my empties, which was 6. I was told it was Smith’s policy that I had to buy as many as I returned and they would only accept the 3 and I needed to take the other three back with me. I said I paid a deposit and when you pay a deposit on an aluminum can, you do not need to buy an equal amount of cans in exchange. After an eye roll and being told she understand, she would do it this one time. I offered to buy 6 to appease the issue the manager, Nicole. I didn’t want special treatment, nor did I want to be spoken down to like that. I love the product, but I would avoid buying the refills at Smith’s since their supposed policy is you need to buy one to one when exchanging them and/or need to carry around your empties with you when they are out of stock. Or since they offer delivery and pick up services that include this product, any time you have it delivered you will be accruing more of these canisters that will then need to be traded in in-person and as many as you trade in, you need to buy that many.

Sorry to all the disabled people that use the delivery service, it will cost you more to get your money back, since you will likely be upside down with how many you can trade n, or buy an absurd amount at a time with no way to catch up.
